The Blue Hole, a famous deadman's divesite.

Once or twice a year I love to go scuba diving and this year we chose for beautiful Dahab, a bedoein oasis on the south of the Sinai-desert.

Dahab has been famous for it's beautiful divesites (most are right on the shore) for many years. People all over the world heard about the divesites Blue Hole and The Canyon.

The Blue hole is a beautiful reef with a large hole in the middle, that descends till about 130 meters/426 feet! A spectacular divesite, with a beautiful coral wall on the outside of the reef, pelagics in the blue on the other site, just a perfect place...

Apparently there is, besides the normal crossing place from the outside to the inside of the Hole at 7 meter/23 feet, also an arch at about 58 meters/190 feet, descending deeper to the outside of the reef. The perfect challenge for those that like to push limits. Unfortunately fatal for some. When you walk to the entry of the divesite next to the Blue Hole, named The Canyon, take a good look at all the memorial stones next to the divesite that warn you... Happy diving!

BonsaiCrash

Bonsai is one of my hobbies. It drives some people around me crazy because I'm really devoted but they don't understand.

Think that Bonsai is boring? I prove you wrong!

Explain this...

I live in a country where it is not a problem to smoke marihuana, but only if it's pure!!

My friend introduced two girls from Brazil last night. They told me they just loved Amsterdam, because it's just what they expected: everybody is so open-minded, parties are wild and they felt very free. A bit strange for them, though, smoking was not allowed inside the bars and clubs. One of the girls was a bit bothered that she had to go outside in the cold every time she wanted to smoke a cigarette. Now she asked me how they do this in the coffeeshops.

So I had to explain her that it is allowed to smoke cannabis in a 'shop', but tobacco is forbidden. Since the smoking ban effective since the 1st of July, we cannot smoke tobacco in bars, restaurants, clubs and... coffeeshops! This means that you can buy and roll a joint, but at the moment you put tobacco in it, you have to take care not to get caught...

She just didn't understand. Maybe it was the linguistic barrier.
